Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Welding Instructor to join our team. As a Welding Instructor, you will have the opportunity to pass on your expertise and knowledge to aspiring welders, helping them develop the necessary skills to succeed in their careers.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct welding classes for students at various skill levels.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive welding curriculum.
  • Demonstrate proper welding techniques and safety procedures.
  • Provide hands-on training and guidance to students.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Assist in the development of welding training materials.
  • Stay updated with the latest welding techniques and industry trends.
  • Maintain a safe and organized welding workshop.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a professional welder.
  • Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
  • Excellent knowledge of welding safety procedures and equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively teach and mentor students with diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • A passion for sharing knowledge and helping others succeed.
  • Relevant welding certifications or qualifications preferred.
  • Must be willing to attend training classes at the UBC ITC in Las Vegas.
  • Must be willing to travel/fly to training destinations as needed to maintain certifications.
  • Successfully complete practical evaluation.

The hourly rate for this position is based on the General Foreman rate of the Collective Bargaining Agreement; currently $61.05 per hour.
