As per the February 1, 2021 Stipulation and Order in United States of America v. District Council of New York City and Vicinity of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, et al., 90 Civ. 5722 (VM), the Office of the Independent Monitor is responsible for overseeing the election of District Council officers later this year. In advance of the election process, the Court in the above-referenced matter must approve the election rules which are included here on the District Council website. Prior to submission to the Court, my Office has requested that the draft election rules be posted so members with questions or comments would have an opportunity to raise them.
