About Civil Service Carpentry
The City Civil Service Corps is made up of highly skilled tradespeople working in city agencies throughout the five boroughs.
The New York City Civil Service Carpenters, Dockbuilders, Ship Carpenters, and Riggers work in all aspects of our trades, from building offices and classrooms to renovating police stations, firehouses, and public housing. During the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, our essential Civil Service Carpenters went to work for hospitals making life-saving protective barriers and building COVID units to help keep our heroes safe.
