The week of November 15th-19th, the District Council celebrated National Apprenticeship Week! The Carpenters Training Center partnered with our friends at Turner Construction to provide several trainings throughout the week to our apprentices. We hosted A-Frame safety seminars and Diversity & Inclusion trainings.
In October, 325 apprentices gathered for three breakout sessions in the Training Center to celebrate their graduation from the apprenticeship program. Last year’s graduating class didn’t get to celebrate their hard work due to COVID restrictions, so we made sure to celebrate them this year. The District Council is happy to welcome our new members and the future generation of NYC union Carpenters.
