EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1, 2024, A VALID OSHA 30 and SST CARD MUST BE ON YOUR PROFILE WITH THE OWL (Job Referral Dept) TO BE CALLED AS A CERTIFIED SHOP STEWARD.
Although your 30-hr OSHA certification does not technically expire, in New York City, there are some City Agency PLAs and some General Contractor and projects that are safety-focused and request a renewed OSHA after five years. To that end, it is advised that as you approach five years from the date of the card’s issuance, you verify certifications and expiration dates on file, and renew your 30-hr OSHA certification.
