Brothers and Sisters,
Black History Month allows us to reflect on the history, culture, and accomplishments of the African American community.
This past year has been tumultuous, but it has been especially difficult for Black Americans and people of color. We at the District Council value and honor the skills, craftmanship, and achievements our Black brothers and sisters have contributed to the union throughout the years.
When we fight for the working class, we fight for everyone. We will not give up until ALL working-class people are treated equally and afforded the same opportunities. We are strongest when we work together.
Thank you and God bless.
Fraternally,
Joseph A. Geiger Executive Secretary-Treasurer
