Brothers and Sisters,
Nobody knows more about the importance of Labor Day than a labor union. As your EST, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for all the hard work you accomplished this year for yourselves, your families, and for your union.
Take this Labor Day to remember all those who came before us to ensure that labor is recognized, and our jobs and lives are protected. That is the true meaning of Labor Day. But I also hope that you get to spend some time doing what you love with your family, friends, and neighbors. You have all worked hard, and now you should celebrate.
Finally, I hope to see many of you, and your families, next Saturday, September 10th at the 2022 NYC Labor Day Parade. We will meet at 111 West 44th St. between 6th Ave. & Broadway in NYC. Please arrive at 9:00 AM. Hats, shirts, food, and drinks will be provided. This year, the U.S. DOL Secretary of Labor, Marty Walsh, will be the Grand Marshal.
God bless all of you and God bless our union.
Fraternally,
Joseph Geiger
Executive Secretary-Treasurer (EST)
