Happy Thanksgiving from the NYCDCC

11.24.2021 L Boudreau

Brothers and Sisters,

This year, we have so much to be thankful for. Our union is here and stronger than ever and that is largely thanks to you, our membership. Union carpenters were on the RISE this election season and over 90 percent of the labor-friendly candidates we endorsed are in office. We just finished partnering with some of them to give back to the communities where we live and work. In total, we donated 2,500 turkeys and 250 hot meals this Thanksgiving to local families in need.

We are also grateful that we were able to host the 19th Annual Softball Tournament and Family Picnic this September. It was wonderful to be able to see many of our brothers and sisters with their families. I look forward to more events where we can all be together.

Looking back on this year, we have a lot of successes as a union to be proud of. One thing that has me filled with gratitude is the unwavering support and dedication from our membership. I speak for all leadership when I say we are so grateful to be able to serve you for another term and continue to make this union great.

Have a safe and healthy Thanksgiving with your families. God Bless.

Fraternally,

Joseph A. Geiger
