On December 3rd, dozens of carpenters came out to the Javits Center to volunteer their time and skills building hockey rinks for the qualifying rounds of the 2021 Special Olympics NY Winter Classic Floor Hockey Tournament. Members installed four 40 x 80’ hockey rinks that are made from sport court flooring, which provides superior traction and shock absorption ideal for high-performance action. The installation was completed within one day and was promptly disassembled and removed after the tournament the next day.

Our relationship with the Special Olympics has grown stronger over the years. Members were enthusiastic to give back to such a great cause. After the games were over, they returned to the Javits Center to take down the rinks just as quickly as they put them up
