New SIB Mentorship Program

07.22.2021 jwatson

The NYCDCC has launched a new Sisters in the Brotherhood Mentorship Program. The mentorship program provides an inclusive space for our newer sisters to learn from more experienced sisters as they carve out their careers in the union. It is also a chance to create long-lasting, supportive relationships with fellow sisters to increase retention in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Having a mentor will help our sisters navigate the oftentimes challenging world of construction and by their side to guide them through real life issues that affect each of sister on and off the jobsite. Please consider getting involved in the Sisters in the Brotherhood Mentorship Program. It’s easy and it only takes a few minutes to get started as a Mentor or a Mentee! If you are a journeywoman or an apprentice, simply click on one of the links below, fill out the form, and you will connect you with another sister. This is a wonderful program created to help our sisterhood flourish. For more information, please contact Jodie Ann Beatty at jbeatty@nycdistrictcouncil.org
