The President has threatened to withhold federal funding for these projects. What will you do to ensure that projects such as the Gateway Tunnel and Second Avenue Subway receive the funding they need to move forward?*

While the impact of the housing crisis on very low-income New Yorkers is frequently discussed, the conversation rarely includes the middle class workforce—the police officers, teachers, nurses, and construction workers who keep our city running. These individuals earn too much to qualify for subsidized “deeply affordable” housing, yet far too little to afford market-rate units. Consequently, many are being pushed out of the city, facing commutes of up to two hours from as far as Pennsylvania. What specific steps will you take to secure federal investment for workforce housing in New York City?*
