Special Message From EST Joseph Geiger

12.31.2024 Luke Marino

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It is with a mix of pride and gratitude that I write to formally resign as Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the New York City District Council of Carpenters, effective December 31, 2024.

Serving as the EST of this Council has been the honor of my professional life. Together, we have achieved significant milestones, expanded opportunities for our members, and solidified our collective future. I am deeply appreciative of the trust and support you have shown me throughout my tenure.

On January 1, 2025, I will begin a new chapter in my career as Eastern District Vice President of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. This new role will allow me to continue serving our union and advancing the mission we all share—improving the lives of working carpenters and their families across the region.

I am confident that the NYC District Council of Carpenters will continue to thrive under the capable leadership of this Executive Board and the dedication of our membership. Over the next several months, I will work closely with all of you to ensure a smooth and orderly transition, so our collective progress remains uninterrupted.

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to every member of this Council. It has been a privilege to lead and represent you. While my new role will take me to a broader stage, I will remain deeply connected to and supportive of the NYC District Council of Carpenters

In solidarity,

Joseph A. Geiger
Executive Secretary-Treasurer
New York City District Council of Carpenters
