Contract Overview for Wall Ceiling and BCA Agreements
Members with the Journeyman Classification prior to December 31, 2018 will be classified as a Certified Journeyman.
Members with the Journeyman Classification after December 31, 2018 will be classified as a Journeyman. After they have worked a total of 10,000 hours in Interior Systems and provided documentation of such will they be classified a Certified Journeyman.
Any Apprentices who successfully complete the apprentice requirements and graduate as a Journeyman prior to December 31, 2019 will be classified as a Certified Journeyman.
Any apprentices who successfully complete the apprenticeship requirements and graduate as a Journeyman after December 31, 2019 will be classified as a Journeyman and be required to work 10,000 hours in Interior Systems before being classified as a Certified Journeyman. Any hours worked as an apprentice shall apply towards the 10,000-hour requirement.
All jobs that have started prior to July 1, 2019 will have no rate change. There will be no increase or decrease. Except for prevailing rate jobs.
Prevailing wage jobs will only receive the increase in Journeyman rate, no decreases for apprentices until the new apprentice rates are posted (expected date January 1, 2020).
Any job starting after July 1, 2019 will be working under the terms and conditions of the new agreement.
There will be no rate increase or apprentice rate adjustment until August 1, 2019 for jobs that have started after July 1, 2019.
Any Interior Provisional who joined prior to December 31, 2018 will now be classified as a Journeyman and will need to work 7,500 hours in Interior Systems before becoming classified as a Certified Journeyman.
Any Interior Provisional who joined after December 31, 2018 will now be classified as a Journeyman and will need to work 10,000 hours in Interior Systems before becoming classified as a Certified Journeyman.
Private PLA jobs that started prior to July 1, 2019 will have no rate increase or decrease.
